Thanks so much to all the fans that have written in to say they loved the special! I have been doing comedy now for fifteen years (wow!) and although I've been lucky enough to get other work doing dramas in film and television, comedy is my first love and I'll always come back to it -- it is dear to my heart. I'm glad you guys are enjoying watching it as much as I enjoy doing it!
I hope to see you all out there when I'm on the road touring this year, and keep checking my site for news, new pics, interviews and blogs -- I'll try to make it interesting for ya!

I was checking out your tour dates and it seems you got not love for us up here in Wisconsin. And no I dont want to drive to Chicago and you cant make me nooooooooo LA LA LA LA LA. You know Id love to get you in a Halo 3 custom game with a few friends........somthing tells me that experiance would make me laugh for years to come!
P.S. I hadnt planed on buying Halo: Reach but now with you doing a voice I guess I will have to break down and buy it!

Thanks so much for answering my first post, I have become a BIG Fan!! I noticed that you answer all your fans, that is soooooooo cool that you take the time to read and comment on each one. I have ordered:
'Swerve', 'Live at the Filmore', and the book
'Black Water Transit', which I read the movie may not be released(what's up with that?) from Amazon.com. I will be checking this site to see when you will perform in SF, can't wait to see you in person.

Ok so, I finally purchased this book that I had in my cart FOREVER on amazon, I thought it looked interesting and I love books with great photography and if it has great stories to go along with the photos that's a bonus and if it's a book on African Americans then that's like the toy in the bottom of a cereal box to me lol. I didn't really pay to much attention to the cover while looking at it online. I was more interested in the content of the book. When I received it yesterday I opened the box that it was in pulled it out and still didn't bother to really look at it. Well, I picked it up today and low and behold something caught my eye on the cover, in a little photo on the bottom right hand corner of the book was a photo of YOU and your dad ;O) What a pleasant surprise!!! Book title: Daughters Of Men-Portraits of African American Women and Their Fathers! How awesome!!! I can appreciate this book because I was a daddies girl I used to go EVERYWHERE with my dad including Bars, but that's a case for child services so we won't discuss that lol All of that to say I am happy I purchased the book and can't wait to read it ;o) -

Dear Aisha Tyler,
I am always so moved by your performances. Yes, your comedy is great. No Question about it. Your part in "Balls of Fire" was comedy, and I'm sure you've gotten lotsa positive stuff about it. But even Robin Williams has delivered Oscar-quality work, Bill Cosby, George Carlin.... If your're being funny, you're probably being honest. Please, Please, PLEASE!.... Give some thought to serious acting roles. I believe your understanding of comedy, timing and delivery and honest interpretation of your own or anybody's material, is shared equally by women of ALL colors, respected by men and enjoyed throughly on many levels by me in particular. Yer' just so Hot. So Funny, and so Wise that I think you could be a female Jack Nicholson. You don't have to abandon comedy at all. Never. I just see you with an Oscar in your hand, that's all.

Well thank you very much Joe, for your kind words and for your support and faith in me and my work! I have done some drama in the past, including CSI (season 5), 24 (season 4), Nip/Tuck (season 2) and Death Sentence, all out on DVD, so you can check those out whenever you get a chance. And I will continue to do drama whenever the right opportunity arises, and will still do comedy, as it is my first love. You are right -- Tom Hanks and Whoopi Goldberg are two other comedians who have won Oscars for their dramatic work. I really appreciate your very thoughtful post; thanks for stopping by! -

I've been a fan ever since your days on Friends and CSI (I still miss Mia). Just bought the "Is Lit" DVD and loved it. Some of the best stand up I've ever watched, and Nowassatall has become one of my new most heard songs. Yay! Glad you liked it! I don't think the song is a ringtone yet, but we'll get to work on that right away! In the meantime, you can purchase "Nowassatall" as a download from iTunes, and there are various phone apps that will turn any song on your phone into a ringtone, so that is a good place to start! Thanks for the support! -

A redemption and a favor. First, I did catch the "Hindenberg 2.0" episode after all Sunday night. (I would personally dig riding such a thing -- an odd modern setting for a spy mission, though.) Second, I got "Swerve" through Books-a-Million and I hope when you stop by my 'Burgh in May you can autograph it. Funny thing is, I first noticed in the self-help section, even though page 7 clearly says "This is not a self-help book, either." But don't worry, your secret is safe with me. Not sure I understand the "reckless" part in the sub-title; maybe you arrived at your wisdom recklessly, but you sound pretty sensible -- but that secret is safe with me too. Men definitely need to read this book. Everyone else will just pander to them; this will actually indicate "This is how you begin to psych the one who works out, cooks, digs philanthropy, and dishes out enough wit for half the Algonquin Round Table." Interestingly enough, the book was misplaced in a lot of bookstores, in either "Self Help" or "Fashion" both of which are a mystery -- I'm glad you were able to find it! The "reckless" in the title refers to the fact that I may say some things in haste I might later regret -- although I don't regret the book at all, and can't wait to write another one -- hopefully soon! I'm glad you like the book and your kudos are motivation to get started on a sequel! -

Just watched "Lit" again and enjoyed it so much. Saw Balls of Fury a couple weeks ago and felt you were perfect for that part. I've been a fan for a long time. You are great.
I'm also from SF, raised in the Haight-Ashbury. You used to work at an ad agency with a friend of mine. She said you were SUPER funny & very cool even way back then.
Did you happen to attend a small private high school in SF? I won't say the name (it was on Page St). It just dawned on me as I was going through some old yearbooks that you MAY have gone there with me. I was there 1980-84.
Well, even if you didn't go there, I remain a fan. LOL
You are smart, beautiful, & talented & it has been amazing to watch your career blossom.

I was one of the people that couldn't make your DC shows because of the weather. I am so glad that you are making a return trip in June. Gotta warn you though, DC is very hot and humid in the summer.
